Local volunteers
Perhaps you can't live your entire life in a foreign country to serve orphans, but you can do plenty in your own community to make a difference. The photo below is of our children in Haiti playing on a swing set that was done as an Eagle Scout project.

If you are looking at getting some friends together to hold an activity or event, maybe you can get an idea from what others have done in the past. The list includes such things as: Collecting donations, packing, sorting, inventorying, making goods (blankets, diapers, etc.), and holding events (firesides, open houses, hunger banquets, concerts, etc.).  Download our List of Items Needed to see what items we currently need and for ideas on projects (including Eagle Scout projects).

We have also found individuals who have special skills like languages, writing, photography, etc., who have been able to help us locally. What time or skills do you have? Download our volunteer survey and let us know more about you!
