QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Q:|What is A Child's Hope Foundation's mission statement?

A:|A Child's Hope Foundation provides orphaned and abandoned children in developing countries a healthy, caring environment while seeking a loving family for them. Learn more under Our Mission.
Q:|What countries are you currently working in and what plans do you have for the future?
A:|See Global Endeavors.
Q:|Is A Child's Hope Foundation an adoption agency?
A:|No, we are not an adoption agency, rather we are a humanitarian relief organization, but we partner with adoption agencies that meet our criteria and standards to place children into families. The adoption orphanages work with the local governmental agencies to prepare the children for adoptions by processing all legal work and medical care.
Q:|How do I adopt children?
A:|See Adopt

Q:|How can I donate to A Child's Hope Foundation?

A:|There are six ways to donate. Visit Donate to learn more.
Q:|How can I participate in the volunteer program?
A:|We frequently take volunteers to our projects to help build the adoption orphanages as well as to work with the orphan children. To find out more about our volunteer program or to view the scheduled trip dates, please visit Volunteer.

Q:|What are the ages of the orphaned children you help?

A:|Though on occasion we do care for older children, A Child's Hope Foundation primarily focuses on babies and infants (newborns to 6 year olds) for the following reasons:
  • They are the most underserved group as a whole
  • Infants have the highest mortality rate among orphaned children
  • Adoptive couples generally want to adopt infants
  • Many orphanages cannot afford the high costs for formula, diapers, and skilled caregivers; which means many infants are neglected and malnourished
  • Many orphanages can't give the intensive time needed for infant orphans, resulting in cases of attachment disorder
  • The Foundation can provide a service to other orphanages and hospitals by caring for those children they are unable to care for
Q:|Is A Child's Hope Foundation tax exempt?
A:|Yes, we are a 501(c)(3) tax exempt public charity.
Today, there are millions of children in underdeveloped countries who have no parents, food, clothing, or access to medical or emotional care. While the majority of these children are dying from malnutrition, their living conditions are so poor that even diaper rash can be deadly. This situation is not isolated; in fact, it is growing at an ever-increasing pace.
